A Closer Look: Major Structural Renovation
On a recent full-home renovation, we removed two load-bearing walls in the kitchen area to install a 20-foot sliding glass door — a transformation that opened the entire main floor to the backyard. The project required three steel I-beams installed across the home to support the second floor, plus foundation underpinning to carry the new load. The rest of the home was renovated as well, including three bathroom remodels, painting, a custom stair set, and the addition of a secret room.
We handled it largely in-house, working with our engineers from design through final inspection. The result: a fully transformed home, structurally sound, that looks and feels nothing like the original.

A full home renovation can take anywhere from a few months to over a year. We make sure every phase is planned, communicated, and built right the first time.

Free Consultation & Site Walk
We start with a free in-home consultation to understand your goals, walk the existing structure, and talk through what’s possible — both within the home and within your budget. Full home renovations involve more decisions than any other project, and we’ll help you think through them up front.

Design, Engineering & Permitting
Our in-house architects and engineers create plans for every phase of the renovation, including structural calculations, foundation requirements, and code compliance. We handle the entire City of San Diego permitting process so the project stays on schedule.

Construction
We sequence every phase — demo, structural, rough plumbing and electrical, framing, drywall, finishes — to keep the project moving and the surprises to a minimum. You’ll have a single point of contact throughout, with regular updates on progress, decisions needed, and timeline.

Final Walk
Before we call the project done, we walk every room with you to identify any final adjustments. We don’t consider the work complete until every detail meets your expectations.
